Trigger Only if

A statement should be entered if a certain criteria needs to be met for the action to be generated.

This is an SQL statement, so if in any doubt please contact thankQ for the correct syntax.

Days to Action

This field can contain a positive or a negative number.

A positive number indicates that an action will be generated “N” days before the defined date.

A negative number indicates that an action will be generated “N” days after the defined date.

The defined date is the date that initially triggers the action.  For example, if the action is checking Date of Birth then the defined date is the Date of Birth field.

If 30 is entered into the Days to Action field then an action will be generated 30 days before the date of birth.

Default Assigned to

This is the thankQ user or users who will receive this Action reminder.  Add or remove names by right-clicking in the text area and select Add Reminder or Delete Reminder as appropriate.

Default Task

A description of the task that needs to be completed when this Action Reminder is displayed.

Enabled (is active)

This check-box indicates whether the Date Fired Action is active or not.  Reminders will not be generated for actions that are not active.

3.Click Ok to create the Action.

thankQ automatically runs a “job” each night on the database to calculate and generate active date fired actions.

A reminder window similar to Outlook Task reminders will be displayed when the user designated in the Default Assigned to field logs in to thankQ.
