The Clean Data process is activated when the user selects the Validate button. The process will then check if the Import has a status of “Records Logged” and will then move the import status to Validating. It will then do the following to the data:

•All fields will be cleared of any redundant white spaces.

•All blank/empty fields are set to NULL in the database.

•Each record is then set to have a status of 'Cleaned'.
