The Chart dashboard item formats values displayed on the chart's surface automatically or using format settings specified for data items. The format of the following values is specified automatically, regardless of the format settings applied to data items.

•Numeric values displayed along the continuous X-Axis. The numeric unit (Ones, Thousands, Millions, ...) is selected automatically, with two fractional digits displayed.

•Values displayed along the Y-Axis. The numeric unit (Ones, Thousands, Millions, ...) is selected automatically, with two fractional digits displayed.

Note:    If the measure's format type is set to Percent, values displayed along the Y-axis are automatically formatted as percents.

Format settings of data items affect the following values displayed within the chart.

•Values displayed within series point tooltips.

•Values displayed within series point labels.

•Values displayed within legend items.

•Values displayed along the X-Axis whose type is not set to Continuous
