Everyday Hero is an organisation comprised of marketing and e-commerce professionals with extensive private sector and not for profit experience. Their objective is to grow the overall donation pool available for distribution amongst not for profits by increasing the participation in fundraising by businesses and households alike, reducing the cost of raising these funds and by making ‘giving’ part of as many everyday transactions as possible.

 

 

Everyday Hero has a website where people can create their own fundraising page for their favourite charity. There are currently 1438 charities and not for profit organisations to choose from.

 

 

Payments can be accepted via the webpage, tax deductible receipts emailed and the funds deposited into the Not for Profit organisation’s bank account. A small administration fee and a payment processing fee is deducted from the gross donation which can vary depending on the type of payment.

 

 

The organisation receiving the donations can download reports in a csv format from the Everyday Hero website to upload into thankQ.

 

 

This module will take you through the process of uploading the report files from Everyday Hero into the thankQ database.
