Write Letter using Button on Tool Bar
Under the Write button on the tool bar of a Contact record there are two options which allow you to either write a Bequest letter to the contact record you are on or write a Bequest letter to all the contacts that are shown on the record selector.
1.Selecting either of these options will place a copy of the letter under the Bequest Communication tab as well as the Contact's Communication tab.
2.Click the Write button on the tool bar.
3.Select Write Bequest Letter (this Contact).

4.Select the Mailing Preference.

5.Select the template to use for this letter.

5.Click Finish & Merge and complete the merge.
6.Print the letter, click ThankQ above the ribbon and Log this Word Document.

7.Enter a Subject and Click OK.

8.Exit Word and click Don't Save when prompted.
Set Status and Stage for Letter
1.Click the Cog under Bequest Prospecting tab and select Set Active Bequest Stage/Status.

2.Place a tick beside the Stage and Status to be set, Click Select.
3.Click Yes to confirm.

4.Select the Mailing just created.

5.Click OK to accept the date displayed or enter a different one first.

6.Click Yes to confirm.
When you associate a stage and status to a Mailing or a Communication the stage/status will be displayed in the Response field under the Communication tab.
Write letters by way of Mail Manager
1.Click on Mail Manager under the Mailing module.

2.Click the New button on the tool bar.

3.Enter a Title that is relevant to the mailing.
4.Select Bequest from the dropdown beside Preference.
5.Click OK.

6.Click Standard Mailing in the workflow.
7.Load contacts into the mailing via Groups, Searches, Power Searches etc.
8.Click on Contacts Prepared from the workflow window.

9.Apply any Rules that may be associated to this mailing eg Households, Text Rules, etc.
10.Click on Merge Options from the workflow window.
11.Click on Merge to Word.
12.Select a Bequest letter and click Open.
13.Click Finish and Merge, Edit Individual Documents.
14.Click OK.
15.Print and Exit document.
16.Click OK to log into thankQ.
17.Enter a Subject and/or click OK.
18.Click Log as Sent so the letter is logged under the Communication tab of the contact.
19.Enter a Date for the Mailing, click OK.
20.Click Yes to select a Category.
21.Select Bequest from the drop down, click OK.
22.Click Yes to set the Bequest Stage and Status.
23.Select Prospect from the drop down, click OK.
24.Select Mailed from the drop down, click OK.
25.Click on Link to Existing Source Code if you want any responses tracked.
26.Locate and select the source code.
The Communication is now displayed under the Bequest Prospecting tab as well as the Communication tab of the contacts.
