When a donation is made to a Charity if an IC number is entered into thankQ the person or organisation making the payment will receive a tax deductible receipt and an IRAS file is sent to the Inland Revenue so the payment can be tracked and the appropriate tax deduction paid.

IPCs will transmit details of donations to IRAS. Individual donors who donate do not need to claim their tax deduction as this will be granted automatically to them. Donation receipts are no longer accepted.
