thankQ Help

The Detail tab contains the different criteria that a customer must fulfil in order to be eligible for the discounts contained in the Applies To tab.

These criteria contain a variety of fields which remain the same regardless of the criteria type.

DISCOU~1_img4

These fields are explained below:

Discount ID

This is an automatically generated ID number which is associated with the Discount.

It is distinct from the Promotion Code as it is not able to be edited by any thankQ user. Furthermore, this ID does not need to be entered by the customer in order for the discount to apply.

Discount Type

This describes the type of discount. For example, the discount might be a Promotion or a Special.

The Discount Types are defined in the Lookup Values.

Promo Code

This specifies what promotion code needs to be entered by the customer for the discount to apply.

The Promo Code is distinct from the Discount ID in that it is able to be edited by a thankQ user. Furthermore, the Promo Code must be entered by the customer in order for the discount to apply.

Single Use

Marking this checkbox restricts the customer from using the discount multiple times. It also prevents the discount from being used on more than one feature.

For example, a discount might give $50 off a Membership purchase and $25 off an Event purchase. If the Single Use checkbox is marked, only the feature with the highest dollar value will be able to be used for the customer. In this case, the discount would only give $50 off a Membership, and not also $25 off an Event purchase.

Available POS

Marking this checkbox allows the discount to be selected from the POS.

Valid From and Valid Until

This specifies the date range that the discount is available for. This can be left blank so that there is no minimum/maximum date.

In addition to the fields described above, there are several other fields which are only active when the appropriate Qualifier is selected.

These are found in the ‘What Qualifies’ dropdown and are explained in the next section.
