A payment from a contact can be allocated to more than one source or destination. For example, someone may make a donation when they pay for an event ticket or a membership. A contact may also donate a lump sum and wish to divide the amount between different projects. To allocate the payment correctly you will need to perform a split payment.
In the following example, the payment is split between two different destinations. A contact receives an appeal mailing from your organisation and decides to donate $120.00, split between two different projects. The contact would like $80 to go to the School Children in Bangladesh for Uniforms and $40 to go to Vaccinations.
