When a relationship exists between two contacts, a pledge given by one contact can be deemed to have been given by the related contact. For example, if a husband or wife is a regular donor, it may be appropriate to record the donation as an indirect or soft donation against the other’s record.

Soft Credit Relationships can be setup in Lookup Values under the Finance folder
