All letters and receipts used in thankQ are Word mail merge templates. These Word templates are linked with thankQ data, such as supporter’s name and address. This data is automatically inserted when the letter or receipt is produced.

Templates which are used with thankQ must be created, opened and edited through the main thankQ menu. The options to create and edit templates are available from the Comunication module on the main thankQ menu.

ThankQ templates contain both constant and variable text. Constant text is the information that will remain the same in each letter. This could be your address information or the body of the letter.

The variable text is the information that is dependent on the contact to which the letter is addressed. This includes information such as the Envelope salutation, address and letter salutation.
