If you are accepting pledges you can specify to have the payment made at time of creation go towards the first instalment of the pledge.

If you answer No, a pledge will be created with all unpaid instalments and no payment will be taken from the donor’s credit card/account by way of the web form. The token will be downloaded with the pledge information so when the instalment is loaded into a batch for the month the payment will be taken.
