Exclude is used so you can exclude other communication rules. If a person receives notification of a specific project then you may want to exclude them from the general update for all projects.

You can also add Exclude statements in your Power Search. You do not need to do both.

A right click under this tab will allow you to Add, Remove and Go to particular Rules.
