Create Actions from Action Manager

In the Action Manager you create an action and detail information such as the task to be completed and the task’s due date, start date, status and priority the same as you do if creating an action from another module eg. Contacts Communication menu.

When the task nears its expected completion date the system will display a reminder to the user assigned to the action.

1.Click the Actions icon in the Actions module.

2.Click the New button on the menu bar. The new action will be assigned a unique ID, which is shown in the Action Reference field.

3.Select a Category from the drop down.

4.Enter a Subject for the Action.

5.Enter a Narrative.

6.Select Due Date, Start Date and Priority.

7.All Action Manager fields are detailed below:

Category

The category assigned to the task. Uses a dropdown list. This is a required field.

Subject

Summary of the task.

Due Date

Expected date of completion for the task. This field will default to today’s date.

Start Date

Expected start date for the task. This field will default to today’s date.

Status

Status of the task. Uses a dropdown list with the following options: Not Started, Deferred, Waiting on Someone, Completed or In Progress. This is a required field.

Priority

Priority of the action. Uses a dropdown list with the following options: Urgent, High, Normal or Low. This is a required field.

% Complete

A percentage figure of the progress of the task. Uses a dropdown list with the following options: 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%. This is a required field.

More information on the task.
